Clockwork is looking for a high-potential software engineer with experience building web solutions with the LAMP stack, including traditional CMS-based solutions, headless CMS solutions, and progressive web apps. In addition, the ideal candidate would be ready to train into a technical leadership role among one of our client delivery teams, playing a key role in guiding complex project work to completion as well as supporting and mentoring junior engineers.


We expect someone in this role to:


  • Have a minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience as a software engineer
  • Wear multiple developer hats while helping your team deliver LAMP stack web solutions
  • Create solutions that are right-sized and that use best practices in accessibility, OWASP, browser compatibility, and SEO
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, develop empathy around their pains and gains, and understand their desired outcomes
  • Provide technical leadership and guide discussions on approach, architecture, and implementation
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of designers, engineers, and strategists in an Agile environment
  • Mentor and support junior engineers on their journey to level-up
  • Explain complex concepts in ways that are easily understandable to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Elevate risks on projects that would impact budget, schedule, scope, or fidelity
  • Work with 4-8 clients at any given time with a 28-hour client billable target per week
